Press Coverage:

Situated in the shabby-chic surroundings of a gorgeous ye olde pub that dates back all the way to 1797, Pretty Ugly must have some self-esteem problems because, from what we can see, it's actually pretty damn attractive.

What's it all about? A free night of buttock bouncing indie, punk and doo-wop, with good-time punters who rock everything from ball-gown glam to vagrant chic with equal panache. There's currently a trend for nicking the night's posters which are plastered across Glasgow, so keep your eyes out for the legendary, and increasingly rare, prints.

Who's in charge? The Underskirts are mistresses of the decks, and as of yet, guest DJs have been limited to Rich Mitchell from Dogs. "The problem is, we love doing it far too much to let anyone else have a go," admits Aarti, one of The Underskirts. Thankfully they're fantastic, with a playlist that takes in everything from The Cramps and Kylie, to local band demos handed to them on the night.

Who looked good on the dancefloor? Gamesmaster legend Dominik Diamond has been spotted throwing shapes along with various members of Snow Patrol.
